Supplement your recordings with TV show downloads
May 23rd, 2006 at 3:55 pm by RakeshDownloadable TV shows have been a hot ticket since iTunes got things started in October of last year and since then, it seems a week doesn’t go by without an announcement of new TV shows available on the net. TechCrunch writes about most of the options for TV show downloads. Joining a TV show mid-season (for example, I just started watching Lost a couple of weeks ago)? You can get caught-up on missed episodes by downloading them over the net. Downloaded (or streamed) TV shows can be a great way to supplement the high-quality recordings made with PVRs, like our Beyond TV.

I am considering buying a beyond tv 4 and am wondering if you have to have a computer in that room. Can you wire it from another room? Even better we have a wireless system would that work?

how about having BTV4 get an IPOD VIDEO setting so that I can watch the stuff I record with BTV4 on my IPOD. I know that I can do this process manually, but why not have BTV do it automatically? It has this functionality right now, except it doesn’t support the IPOD format. Does your CEO not realize the additional selling points this adds to your product?

Is there a way to watch downloaded video (or in my case, recorded on a Replay and then transferred over to my PC) through BeyondTV?

Chris, if you have ReplayTV, check out DVArchive. It’s a freeware program that acts as a virtual ReplayTV on your PC. It allows you to transfer and watch ReplayTV recorded programs on your PC. http://www.dvarchive.org
